My Before and After Pics

Just for the record- here’s MY before vegetarian bodybuilding photo. It was a while back but shows that I wasn’t exactly genetically gifted at eighteen years old! I had been vegetarian for a few years at this point and as you can see, I had lost a lot of bodyweight. I wasn’t sure how to get bigger, even though I was lifting weights like crazy and reading bodybuilding magazines, searching for information.

Not sure quite what I was doing with the broom there- perhaps early Harry Potter impressions but I pretty much stayed this shape for years. I don’t have many photos of the in between years but apart from getting quite honed through weight training I had no gains in size. It took a lot of study to finally understand what I had to do to make weight and muscle gains. Internet bodybuilding information wasn’t around then.

But once i finally got out of the bodybuilding magazine mentality and found how to eat properly I started my training programme and took it seriously. After a couple of years I was ready to enter competitions and I I ended up with the following ‘after’ picture. The total time elapsed between these photos is about ten years but as I say, my early training was not very effective.
